Our Cross Timbers Texas Oak is cut at 12 to 18 inches, split, and aged for maximum heat and flavor for your smoker or fireplace. Each cage holds a full rick -- 1/3 of a cord of wood.
Hickory is often used to add amazing flavor to smoked meats and fish. Our native grown Hickory is hand cut, split and seasoned to bring out all the flavor.
Our smaller Chiminea cut seasoned Texas sized and split for a perfect fit for long slow burns in your chiminea or metal fire pits. Ideal for cooking s'mores and hot dogs.
In order to eliminate confusion for our customers, we use industry standard IBC Tote cages that will hold 1/3 of a cord - or a full rick. Using these cages ensures that you get all the wood you ordered when it is delivered.
If you need less wood - we also sell it as a quarter cord. We use the same IBC tote cates for a full rick - and mark it on the outside at the height of the cubic volume of a 1/4 cord
Our woodplot is located near the Red River close to where it flows into Lake Texoma. This area was notorious for outlaws in the 1800's
If you live in the Plano / Frisco / Prosper/ Little Elm area. - or anywhere north to Texoma we can arrange delivery of the wood to your door. There is a fee for this - but if your schedule is flexible, it is typically between $25 -$50

The woodplot features many old growth oak and other trees that have been around for hundreds of years. We selectively harvest to promote healthy growth.
We initially purchased the property for recreation and discovered an old home site, and massive oak trees that were being choked out by cedars and underbrush, There were a lot of large oak trees that had died - and after we shared it with our barbecue friends for smoking, we decided to start selling seasoned wood to the public. Delaware Bend was a major town in the 1800's so we didn't want these old trees to go to waste.
Over the years we have been clearing sections to create a healthier oak forest, and began selectively harvesting weaker trees. We then partnered with fanatical barbecue foodies to create the proper cuts of smoking wood for the most flavor.
We don't use any chemicals or other treatments on the wood, except to clear the underbrush and keep the cedars under control. This lets the natural flavors of the area come through to your cooking.
The area is rich in history, and every trip often produces a discovery of some kind. From old medicine bottles, to a forgotten iris garden that has thrived on its own for decades, the woodlot has lots of secrets
Shortly after purchasing the property, we cleared out the area around the homestead with a remarkable machine that converted the underbrush and cedars to mulch.

We deliver firewood to Plano, Frisco, Propsper and nearly anywhere in the Texoma area. The wood is stored just north of Whitesboro in IBC Tote cages and we can deliver up to 1/3 of a cord during the week - and larger deliveries on the weekend.
